Somewhere in the vast stretches of Punjab

Amidst those seamless mustard fields

The silky sunshine, the aromatic breeze

Orange tarred horizon blending with carpet of yellow

Whiff of fresh life infused in each breath

The fertile lands, the virile skies

I close my eyes
I see nothing.

And I realise,
After being here, there's nothing that needs be seen...

well.....the poem has been beautifully weaved as if some kind of story has been narrated. especially, the ending part of the poem was striking coz it arrested my attention straight way. tthis because the ending para has a heeling, soothing, calm n composed touch. as if it symbolises someone in one's complete serenity or self possession away from the apprehensions of daily life. as they say sometimes solitude is the best company, but here the lap of nature is providing that companionship to parteeksa.
